STORY

Human Dog Food? HDF? What? Yes, I know what a weird name for a food product. Inspired by the thought of how the same dog food can power your dog for years, this meatloaf recipe is an excellent staple to any body builder's diet. What else do you need but rolled oats and lean ground turkey? How about mixing them together for an excellent and simple food that can help maintain or build lean muscle. Give it a try. If you liked your mother's home cooked meatloaf as a child, you will love this mixture.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.75-2.0 lb(s), 93% lean ground Turkey (Costco bag packs are best)
  • 0.75 cup, Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce (10oz Can works)
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 cup, Chopped White Onion
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground Pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Defrost meat if necessary. Dice the onion pretty small. A chopper will do quite well. Put all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Use cooking spray in non-stick loaf pan. Evenly place mixture in the loaf pan.
  4. Cook for 1 hour. Remove from oven and cool. Cut into 4 pieces.
